Gong Xi Fa Cai! Goong Hei Fatt Choy! Kiong Hee Kiong Hee!!

It's the first day of Chinese New Year, year of the dog, wruff! Got set and ready to go over to my dad in law's place, with Aidan and myself wearing a red T and polo T respectively, and Wilkin a subtle orangy T, have to be colourful ler on first day. Took me quite a while to get Aidan to wear the festive pants, which he refused. Successful in doing so for the first half of the day, after his nap at home and when we went out for the 2nd time, mmh mmh, NO WAY!

Had vegetarian food at dad in law's, poured him a cup of tea, said some chinese idioms like Be healthy or something like that, exchanged angpaus and spend the better half of the day there.

Next we came home for Aidan's beauty sleep and later went out to Wilkin's grand dad, and wow! We had a big angpau each from him. Aidan is about $200 richer now. Next, dad in law together with Wilkin's sister and youngest brother came over. It's a tradition that we go to each other's place to visit during the CNY.

In the evening, we had dinner with Ching and family, and spent sometime there with Ramon, Hannah and Miguel teaching me how to take care of a Neopet!

Came home at 1030pm and Aidan was all sweaty and sticky, so we gave him a late night shower and put him to bed. I got 2 books from Ching about crimes and am reading it now. That's our day!
