The Lemon Detox - and this is NOT a paid post :P

Jess told me she was bingeing on junk food, so much so that she found it very difficult to stop.

She heard about the Lemon Detox Diet on the radio and looked up the internet. Told Ching about it, and then thought she'll try it later... you know, procrastination. Little did she know Ching got it for her as Mother's Day gift. (Should she take it with appreciation or think that her hubby thinks she's too fat now? Haha!) She said it cost about $79.00 for a bottle of the Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup.

How we started on this topic was that Wilkin commented that she lost weight. Apa lagi? Happy ler of course. Then she told me about this diet and I said I've heard it on the radio too and asked how it works. She said maple syrup. And I replied 'Waah, not bad. Cheap diet, I heard about Beyonce on this cayenne pepper drink too.'

She said it has to be this particular maple syrup, mixed with fresh lemon juice and a few pinches of cayenne pepper. There are basically 4 versions of the Detox and she took the drastic one, 'The Full Detox'

Hear this. No Food, NO SOLIDS whatsoever for one whole week! Whenever you feel hungry, drink the mixture. Now, she has to get up early to send her kids to school, take care of her SIL's daugther, work part time at a buffet restaurant carrying heavy plates. She's full on every day, and she told me although she does feel hungry at times, she will just drink again and it will give her a boost of energy, and not feel hungry. Makes me think what's in that maple syrup. Even her chronic back pain was much much better.

And on the 8th day, when the diet is over, all she can 'eat' is sip on fruit juices. She will have to slowly introduce food back into her body again. Even the fruit juice made her sick at first. On the 9th day, only vegetables that are pureed. And more food on subsequent days.

How much did she lose? 4kg in one week.

Now, although I am very, very much tempted to lose that amount in such a short time, I told her no way I can do that! No food for one week?! Naah! Not for me..

Good on you, Jess, for such willpower. I may try 'The Relaxed Version' i.e. substituting dinner, or both breakfast and dinner. Even then, I may still binge :)

Losing 4kg in a month sounds okay, doesn't it? Anyone wanna try with me?
