Paypal payouts

A few blogger friends asked me if I have any problems with Paypal payouts.

No. Actually I haven't withdrew any earnings out from Paypal so far, which a certain blogger friend was gobsmacked after I said it. Wouldn't it be better to earn some interest depositing it into the bank? Good point. But I feel excited and motivated seeing the amount growing in there, plus if I withdrew the money, don't even mention the word 'interest' to me, it will be gone in a flash, heh.

But just to answer another blogger friend, and to satisfy my own curiosity, I withdrew the minimal amount of USD$150 allowed by Paypal without any fees being charged. It was approved immediately, but noted that I will only receive the money in my account in 5-7 days. And the money was in after 3 days.

I think Aussies don't have a problem. But Paypal should rectify this problem as I am sure they know by now they have hundreds (or perhaps thousands?) of accounts from Malaysia.

But if you still have that problem hor, I think I can start small business, hehehe. You transfer the Paypal money into my Paypal, I withdraw and then send you local cheque. I charge very little only.... fifty fifty...Muuaahahaaaahaa!!

*Hands covering face and head fending off rotten eggs!*

JUST JOKING! *sob sob*

just wanna know....how can we transfer to your acct? when i clicked accept payment, it goes straight to asking me for a US bank.

hey...actually i found out already how to transfer to another acct. initially i couldn't see such option as paypal's technical problems. i hv asked my bil in toronto to set up another acct for me and i'm using that which linked to a foreign bank ;) btw, does paypal charge you any fees for conversion to Aud$? I'm being charged when they pay to the Canadian acct :(

paypal does state that it's free to withdraw minimum AUD$150 and above, otherwise will charge AUD$1 for AUD$149.99 or less, for banks in aust.
thne for banks in US, no fee at all. so far no charges for PPP to paypal, but there's fee for others like Payu2blog, blogitive, etc.etc.
same for everyone?

hi vedis,

no i am not serious. seriously :) i guess m'sian have to wait a while, am sure paypal will rectify the problem with so many malaysian bloggers, BUT, worst case scenarios, if there are no better options, i'll help out some friends. what about the card other bloggers have been talking about? something like $30 to buy, is it a one off thing? anyone?

50-50 -____-". can i have some rotten egg. i wanna throw at sweetpea ;p

i think the card is called the VMI card cost 25usd.

Sweetpea said...

if only buy once and can use forever, then i guess that's the way to go lor.. but hope paypal can do something about it soon.

IMMomsDaughter said...

I'm using the VMI currently and have no complains except for the charges involved but it's really convenient

i guess they have to take a little commission off u. if paypal doesn't do anything about it, i guess that's the way to go..
