Baa Baa Black Sheep
Ting Tit Lei (It took me a minute to figure out what it means! You still wondering?! It's like 'Relax' in cantonese?) asked me in my other blog if Aidan has trouble singing Baa Baa Black Sheep.
Funny I am asked this question, because, well, it's not that I have just realized it, but it never occured to me to blog about it, but since we are on this topic, I think children here, well, at least in Melbourne, I think, they are not taught this song. I've never heard one so far!
Why now, you may ask. Some say there is a racist overtone to it?
Where is the simplicity in life? Where are those days where we can say anything, and not worry that we may offend anyone? Why are people getting so sensitive today?
IT'S JUST A SONG, FOR DURIAN, RAMBUTAN, PUTU MAYAM SAKE!
Why are adults teaching their children to be more sensitive? And for those who do it, it means we, the more simple minded ones, have to teach our children to be sensitive to their sensitivity, in order not to be clobbered. Am I making sense here?
*Blink blink, shake head to clear complicated sentence. Huh?!*
Why can't children just enjoy being kids? Like WE used to?
