What's behind your ear?

Definitely not Criss Angel trying to make a hamburger appear from it.

I was at a line waiting to order our Kentucky Fried Chicken lunch today, when I noticed this guy in front of me. He was somewhat unkempt, copping a grunge style skater boy look. The shop wasn't that big, I had no where else to look, and had to keep myself entertained, right?

I scanned him top to toe. Gee... next I'll be scanning my son's girlfriends. Those who doesn't have basic social manners and etiquette need not apply. If she comes in my house with a chewy in her mouth or a talking on a mobile, sorry son, I did a bad job. You should be better than that.

Back to Young Grunge. He has a few ear studs on both ears. I was admiring some unique looking studs, and then I saw it! Oh my holy moly blistering foot! Okay, what do you expect to find if you:

  • Dont' wash your hair for some time?

  • Or, didn't take your bath for some time?

Either way, no water touched the back of your ears, right?

What looked like dried up wax and dirt covered the crease behind his left ear. Eeeww.... I didn't bother looking at the right. Gosh! There goes my appetite.

I always make it a point to clean Aidan's ears, inside and out. It is a place that can easily go unnoticed. He is fine with me cleaning the outer parts of the ear, but obviously hates it when I dig deeper, hahaha. I mean, just using a damp cloth, not the ear pick. He is used to me brushing his tongue though, and I expect him to do it himself when he is older.

Eeewwww again. I couldn't get the sight out from my mind. Blek!
