Aidan wants a Frog!

We had a lazy morning, and went to The Glen at 11am. Every school holiday the centre will have shows for children, and this week it was reptiles from the Snakesbusters.

Aidan was quite fascinated with the small and huge snakes, and by the end of the half hour, if you read the link to the site, everyone can get their hands on the reptiles. Wilkin had two draped around his neck. One a normal size, and later he requested for this real giant. And I mean GIANT! I didn't bring the camera along, but had two pics in my phone, only I didn't know how to fiddle with tranferring it to the pc, nyek.

I don't mind touching them, but no way I am going to have snakes as necklaces! I held a tiny froggy though. A Green Tree Frog, which looks like this:

Aidan was in between wanting to hold and not. He touched the snakes and frogs gently, but didn't dare hold the frog. I handed the froggy to another child wanting a turn. Five minutes later, Aidan quietly said to me 'Mummy, frog.' I thought he wanted to see them again. So I got one. He smiled and then tugged at my arm, asking me to leave! The boy wanted to take Froggy home! I told him we couldn't, it wasn't ours. He wasn't taking no for an answer, but really, we can't have it.

We walked away with him sobbing in my arms. Poor thing, but was quick to smile when I offered to buy him a Chuppa Chup. Froggy is still in his mind and he did mention about it, but at least he didn't pester me this time. Phew!

sue - he only goes for the real stuff, unfortunately.

l'abeille - i wish. next u know is that he'll be wanting me to hold the frog and for him to touch it, not daring to hold it himself.

janice, WH, jazzmint and HFM - i don't have a problem with it, in fact the frog is really soft and cute. why u gals all so takut? but if i get it i'll be the one doing all the work. so that's the main reason am not getting it!
