Of 'What New Year?' and smoking in the car with kids in it
Upon waking up to the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, everything was back to normal. To us at least.
So when I met up with a couple of Chinese mums at the Cabena Care, we forgot to greet each other. I managed to 'remember' and said Kung Hei Fatt Choy, and she was like stunned for a while, then with the expression 'Oh, ya!' See how simple it is here?
Spoke to a very good friend of mine today. I called Ipoh knowing she's back from US for the holidays, and she scolded me for always going back the 'wrong' time, not being able to catch up. I gave her a brilliant idea to come over to Aust. when we turn 40, as we have a couple of classmates here as well, so we can all celebrate the big FOUR-O!! That will give her enough time to save money and annual leaves. Good idea eh?
Interesting goss. Australia dabbled with the idea of 'catching' those who smoke in the car when there are children in it. There was quite a big hoo-hah as to what's next? Catch them at home too? Car is a private property and as if police don't have enough work to do. Of course those parents will have common sense am sure?
My friend told me that although it's not officially implemented in US but it seems there are cases where people got caught. See if this will happen in Australia. Not that it affect us. Wilkin only smokes in the backyard. What do you think? Will it work?
