Cheh Kai punya lou goong

I admit it was my bad to switch on the cd player at bedtime for Aidan.

The first time, after the 16 songs from Bob to the Bananas to Thomas, he came running out and pulled me into the room, asking for a repeat. He's been good of late so I let him be. Didn't realize this was the start of a new problem. He wanted repeats through 11pm!! And I said to him it has got to stop, it was way past bedtime. Well, of course he fussed a while, but it was ok.

Tonight same thing. Back of my head I knew I shouldn't be doing it, yet I did. A case of an over-indulging mum. At 11pm still heard him in his room singing along. So I went in to switch it off. He cried again. Tried the same thing, only this time not working. He held on to me tightly and just wanted me to hug him. Woooo... I tell you, nice feeling. Then it got a little bit too far. He wanted me in bed with him. This cannot jadi. Coz I know if I do it once, he'll want it all the time. So kept on crying and 'fussing' until Wilkin came out, gave him a smack and told him to go to bed.

??!! What was that for?! Then he started blaming me. Saying I shouldn't have played the cd in the first place. Blardy hell. Yes I started it, my bad. And so everything he did and taught Aidan was right then? All those 'punch punch punch'.. Today I just copped one. Out of the blue, he just punched me in the chest and laughed. And that is good teaching? Ta Ma De! I didn't even bother retorting ler.... I can't win argument with him one. Everything also my fault.

KNN!!

I hear you. once u start something, it's hard to stop it. Guess, you have to hang in there...and endure some crying. I'm sure he'll stop ..soon..maybe in 6 months time...

I must admit that I am guilty of playing music to get our daughter to sleep but I figured it was either that or struggle for hours until she finally dozed off.

mott - am not worried ler. he catches my drift quite quickly. it'll be over in days. but he also now when to wrap me round his little fingers, manipulating my feelings to his advantage :P huh, i just hope he won't give me any headaches with girls next time...

michelle - we did that when he was a baby. initially we had white noises e.g. river, stream, wind, ocean. later we had lullaby music. it was great! it's just right now he knows what he wants. i'll hang in there for a couple of days.

my hubby also like dat, anything wrong, blame me. all the good things that the children do, he takes the credit.
