Misc. stuff - what I've been up to

Went on a spending spree at Spotlight on Tuesday, bought thermal-lined curtains, to keep the heat in longer. Spent a fraction on ready-mades rather than the quoted $600 odd for tailored ones. That, not including the accessories like rods and inserts.

Same place, Aidan couldn't let go of the Thomas book-ends. I swapped this for that. Naturally, he was happy to trade for a much bigger box :)

Then at Coles Supermarket, found this:

Where on other parts of the earth can u find macadamias, wasabi-ed at that! Okay, I exaggerated a bit. Can find macadamias else where maybe, but wasabi-ed? Clearance sale some more!

What I cooked :

Stew pork ribs. Here you see the start of it. Finished product, if you want to skim off the oil, easy. Here right now winter season, leave it out to cool, two hours later, you can imagine the frozen oil, like icing on the cake. Just spoon it off!

And lastly, I've been conned into going to Country Road sale by my friend earlier in the afternoon. Bought this:

$99.95 retail, sales at $59.95, then friend has 25% CR Club discount, bought for $45.00

Imagine this over a pinafore, opaque tights and mini boots :)

Conned is having to wait in line for almost 1 1/2 hours to pay! Never in my life have I lined up like this! If it was only mine, I would've thrown this thing back onto the shelf and walked off. But friend got a friend also have stuff, so I lined up and they took care of the kids.

What pissed me off was that the other friend never bothered to offer to stand in. Only me so nice, so cuckoo to be used :P Lucky Aidan was in a sweet enough mood to follow them.

Next time any sales anywhere, please don't ask me to go, especially if I have to take Aidan along. Sale 80% also donwan!!

$3 for a packet of wasabied macadamia nuts is damn cheap! Nice and cheap coat you've got there.
