One of Australia's Treasure

Spring has barely begun, and the summer pest is already here. I am talking about this!

THE BIG CLUMSY, STUPID, NOISY, IRRITATING
FLY!!

Here is one I just swatted after buzzing around me annoyingly for the past half hour, right here on my desk! Size compared to a AA battery.

During summer when you walk on the streets, you will find at least four to six stick to your clothes, or will try to land on your eyelash, or just bugger the hell out of you just following and flying in your face! They are so heavy and stupid, you can easily whack the life out of them.

Earlier today, the cheeky rascal was at it again. I was hanging out the washing, and he had to play with this. He even wanted to 'drive' his new fire truck which I just bought for him one hour prior to this into the puddle! Of course I had to scream! Not at him, but I was horrified at the thought of my $10 in the mud even before sundown! At least give it another two weeks lar.

So I said, No No No! Bring firetruck back into the house! He did.

When he was done playing, he tried turning on the tap. Not knowing how to adjust the pressure, the hose flew around, he caught hold of it, well, facing himself, I had to say.

I winced and cringed, thinking to myself 'Sigh, what have I done to deserve wet and dirty laundry, and here I am, just hanging out a new load' I opened up one eye, and true enough, he was a wet duck. I pretended not to see. Still holding onto the hose, now facing the ground, he looked at me helplessly and called out Mummy!

I went over, stared at him, he stared at me. Here he is, my little wet duckling, on the face, soaked in the front of his T and pants. I had to laugh. He was a funny sight! Upon seeing me laughing, his mouth cracked into a wide grin, and then started laughing too. I guess he wasn't too sure if I would be angry, given the fact that I only smacked him yesterday.

Last note for the night, I haven't been to the doc yet. hehe. I did call up this morning, my doc and her hubby doc is fully booked. So many sickos around.
