Summary of Touch Down Day

Security at Melbourne Airport was never as tight as I have experienced. Every little bottle and tubes of liquid or cream is questioned. Water wasn't allowed through the custom. Have to buy them from the other side once we get through and I forgot all about it. At the waiting lounge before boarding, an airport staff checked everyone's passport and boarding pass. I wanted to walk over to the store to buy a magazine but wasn't allowed to, until he checked everyone. By then he forgot me and I couldn't be bothered.

I was at the cabin crew's mercy. Nearly died of thirst and dehydration. Aidan has a small bottle of water which they allowed through, but being a mum, it's natural instinct to save every last precious drop for him. Aidan slept right through the flight. He did great without Phenergan.

Right before touch down, I had the urge for Number Two. Of all times! But being a person with high threshold for tolerance, I managed to go to the toilet in the building. The person after me wasn't so lucky. I had to act as if the smell in the cubicle was fowl, and that it wasn't my fault. Kkakakkaaaaaa!!

We parted with Wilkin and FIL before transitting to the imigration dept. Everything was smooth as. Claiming the luggage was quickest this year. Proceeded to Red Lane but the personnel told me to just walk over to the Green Lane. He did ask though what was in the parcel. I smiled and replied "Ham." He smiled uneasily and waved me through. Hahaha.

Did a little shopping at MidValley. Had to buy extra Nurofen for my headache. Most loot are Aidan's stuff. Then the little rascal wanted to 'Poo poo'. Went to family room, baby toilets were under repair and Aidan refused to enter the squat toilets. Don't think he remembered seeing them before. Went to another one upstairs and was surprised to see the kiddy toilet is SO LOW! One was filled and not flushed. Yucks! We went into the other, did his business, clean up and we came out to wash his hands. Then I felt water splashing the back of my pants.

One Malay mum was cleaning her baby, and had the hose spraying everywhere! And with the door opened too! She got the floor outside all wet. She was lucky she didn't get all of me, otherwise I would have been so pissed. She then proceeded to the basin beside ours, and the tap didn't work. I continued washing Aidan's hands, she waited. When we were done, she brought her half naked baby to our side and washed him again. You wonder what she was doing inside the toilet then? I couldn't be bothered, but it was the mentality and common sense, or rather, lack of, that got to me. Has she no consideration for other people using the place? Obviously not, what a stupid question.

Swimming at the public pool behind my sister's place. Kids had a ball. Travelled to and fro behind my nephew-in-law's Isuzu Rodeo. Open air and bumpy ride, Aidan loved it. Throughout the day, he held my grandnieces' hands and didn't want mine. Except when he wanted me to get the three Jack Russells away from him.

It's 5.00 now and all kids asleep.

Bliss...

jazzmint - not really enjoyed, everyone was exhausted, but at least no events from him :)

lb - yes, it was good, apart from my hubby being singled out and a random search was done on him. haha. if he had walked together with us rather than alone at the front, maybe he wouldn't have been chosen. and the tag, i did liao :P

nomadicmom - well, it's not a matter of not liking the place, but the inconsideration she was showing to the public. if she would have said that, i wouldn't have kept quiet, would i? :P
