The day before the flight...

Aidan got sick. Feeling very lethargic, he could barely keep his eyes opened in kinder. So happened it was my kinder duty day, and I was there. Before it was over, we were already out of there, with me hauling the poor little guy around Glen Waverley to the chemist, the ATM machine (to get more credit for my phone and I needed to call a pharmacist friend for advice) and back to the chemist again.

With practically no food in his tummy, all he wanted to do was just go home. Lucky thing he was good with fluid. Drank lots of water and sipped on 100 Plus. We went to the doc, and got some antibiotic. She, of course, advised to defer our flight till Aidan is better. I have thought just that.

The only problem is, I will have to fork out an extra $600 to postpone our trip. $120 for issuing new tickets, x 2, and pay the difference of the fuel/airport tax, which is currently about $500, that makes about $150 each. But worst case scenario, I would have to do that if he isn't feeling any better.

After a few doses of medication, including paracetamol, Brauer's Chesty Cough syrup and antibiotic, he slept for hours. I realize it may not be viral, but travelling on a plane, he might as well take it.

Then he woke up. And was able to pose, and joke. He told me to Listen, and let out two farts.

Fingers crossed. Everything depends on how he is tomorrow.

Hey, you have 100 Plus in Melbourne? Here tak ada.

Fuel surcharge plus other taxes for flights these days are extremely expensive. When you see the airfare without them it's so cheap. Once you add this and that it's so much difference.

How can you tell if a sickness is viral? Since you're back in Malaysia now I guess he did okay the next day.
