Here we go round the mulberry bush

We have sang this song since we were little kids. But the funny thing is, I have never seen a mulberry before.

Are all berries red? Do they all taste sweet? And until I saw an actual picture of different types of mulberry, I have always thought it might look a little like a redcurrant. How about you? Would you be surprised if I tell you there are many species to it? Mulberry trees come in fancy names such as the Bachuus Noir, Gelato Red, Whitey, and many more. And perhaps, you would have guessed correctly already, that Bachuus Noir is a type of black mulberry, Gelato Red belongs to the red family and Whitey, the white.

And I have yet to taste one.
