Big Small Eyes

Arranged to have a swimming session with my friend and her boys last night, so Aidan can have some fun today. But see what happened when he woke up.

Our family doctor is on holidays. Another favourite doctor was fully booked, along with other doctors in the medical centre he worked for. Tried another doctor we saw, fully booked. Drove to a nearest medical centre, see if I can do a walk-in. It was worse, only one doctor on duty and fully booked as well.

So what do I do??! This is an emergency! Drove to our 'favourite' doctor, got down on my knees and begged. Naah....hehe. The receptionist said she'll try squeezing us in, but not necessary with the doc we wanted to see. Fifteen minutes later, we got to see him. He said it may be just an allergy, didn't look like conjunctivitis, and told me to give him antihistamine, along with antibiotic eyedrops which he prescribed.

I was so thankful I went to the supermarket and got them a box of chocolates. See, here no such thing as walk-in, or first come first serve. Must make appointment. Urgent? Go A&E department in the hospital, of which you may end up waiting for hours.

Aidan is better now, the 'slit' is wider and with the fact he is not complaining and still making a mess around the house, shows that he isn't the least bothered. But I am. Now, how am I going to instil the eyedrops again in four hours' time......

sting and pearly - believe me, he is 100% okay now :) doesn't seem to bother him at all, cheeky bugger. just the mummy a little gabrah :P

janice - i know it feels good to be appreciated. being in retail and just like them, most of the time dealing with people who are unwell, being on the receiving side (i.e. us, customer and patient) i appreciate their compassion. i know i feel good when some customers really thank me from their hearts. although i don't mind some chocolates at all :P
